Position:  SEAMS Member Wells Hosiery & Apparel is looking for a Sewing Machine Mechanic

Location:  Asheboro, NC

Requirements:  Working knowledge on the configuration of the following sewing machines: overlock, coverstitch, single-needle, 2-needle lockstitch, flat-seamers, top and bottom coverstitch, elastic machines, multi-needles, and felling. The candidate must be experienced with all of these machines and have a good understanding in order to properly repair them on an as needed basis.

MANAGEMENT POSITION AVAILABLE

Position:  SEAMS Member Patriot Outfitters LLC, a cut and sew tactical nylon products company, is searching for candidates for the position of Production Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for products being manufactured in accordance with established production processes, line organizational efficiencies, directing the work force through team leaders in such a manner as to meet approved production schedules within the budgeted cost; and for enforcing the plant’s employee relations policies and procedures.
Determine the performance of raw material in production by observation and inspection at various points in the process and take necessary corrective action to ensure standards and quality are maintained.
Ensure, through review of safety and accident reports, inspection reports, and visual observation, that safety requirements are being met.
Develop objectives and forecasts using historical data and projected production demands in order to operate as efficiently as possible.
Recommend to Senior Management the promotion, employment, dismissal, or change in compensation of subordinates and hourly employees.
Receive and process complaints of all subordinates by reviewing the facts as prescribed by the company policy.
Keep informed of technical changes through trade magazines, seminars, and technical bulletins to take advantage of improved technology.
Complete assignments as assigned by the Senior Management.

The Successful Candidate will possess:
Five (5) years of supervisory and management experience in a textile manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textile Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft OfficeTM.
