FIND Manufacturing is a nonprofit Cut and Sew production plant transferring the DNA of hard work and ingenious talents of struggling coal mining communities to build a reliable, domestic supply chain for soft-good manufacturing – making quality, sustainable products in the heart of rural Utah. FIND is committed to empowering workers and supporting local communities by providing secure, meaningful jobs that turn into careers and local business ownership. And we aspire to economic, environmental, and social sustainability in every aspect of our work.
This position is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. You will help re-skill and re-tool rural communities that will be or have been hit by significant job loss as coal mining winds down, and individuals that have faced barriers to employment. You will work alongside a soft and technical skills trainer to further implement and perfect our technical sewing skills in our work-n-learn pathway program. Oversee and continually improve the daily production and operations at the training facility. Additionally, you will work alongside our CEO and Business Development Director to build and execute a manufacturing at scale plan which entails a distributed, collaborative network of locally owned
‘micro- factories’ (from the graduates of our program) and supply chain from Carbon County down to San Juan County.
