As the U.S. textile industry confronts supply-chain resilience, workforce development and long-term competitiveness, NC State University’s Wilson College of Textiles continues to position itself as a strategic engine for innovation, talent and domestic manufacturing leadership. That message was underscored by Dean David Hinks, Ph.D., during closing remarks at the Wilson College of Textiles Alumni and Friends Virtual Town Hall on Jan. 22, where he outlined how the college is responding to demographic shifts, rapid technological change and national security priorities tied to textiles.
