SEAMS is the Association and Voice of the U.S. Sewn Products Industry for over 50 years consisting of more than 200 of America’s foremost fashion brands, retailers, manufacturers and textile providers. Supercharging the American Supply Chain, SEAMS is the most relevant force and go-to resource shaping the growth and resurgence of MADE IN AMERICA. By providing access to people, processes and products to move production back to the U.S., SEAMS serves as the hub for networking, inspiration, innovation, and intelligence to enhance members’ competitiveness, productivity and profitability in the new global economy.

They are comprised of industry experts and innovators from some of the world’s fastest growing U.S. manufacturers, textile providers, brands, suppliers, and tech vendors bringing years of experience and best practices to the membership. Together, they cultivate SEAMS’ strong culture of innovation and work tirelessly to strengthen the impact of MADE IN AMERICA in today’s global economy.

Brent Jones is the General Manager of Henderson Machinery, Inc. leading a 50+ year old company in sales, service and support for the textile industry. Henderson offers machines for yarn processing, spooling, winding and air covering, sensors for yarn break and color matching fabrics, circular knitting machines, garment stretch testing, washers, dryers, garment and package dyeing, automatic packaging machines, automatic spreaders and cutters, bonding and seam sealing machines, other textile automation options and TPU yarn. Henderson Machinery works with manufacturers, brands, military and government agencies as well as Colleges and Universities to promote Made in USA Manufacturing. Brent believes in using his leadership skills in organizations like SEAMS to bring companies together with the idea that a strong network will support and encourage domestic US production by offering the complete supply chain in one source.

Jim Hopkins is Director of Sales/Marketing at Hamrick Mills, a Gaffney, SC USA based textile weaving company which supplies woven fabrics to the apparel, industrial, and home furnishings markets domestically and across the western hemisphere. Jim has been with Hamrick for 21 of his now 42 years in the textile industry and has come to believe that the future of the US Textile Industry will be reliant on collaboration and partnerships among the domestic companies. The SEAMS ORGANIZATION has been and will be instrumental in providing a platform for networking between those companies to form those alliances. In todays’ global environment, it is not only what you know, but who you know and what they know, and how you use that knowledge collectively for the greater good of all. We are all better together!

Xochil Herrera is the President and Founder of The Chicago Pattern Maker, and collaborates with brands and factory partners, bringing technical expertise and care to the design and product development process, including pattern and prototyping. She works across multiple apparel categories; and has a variety of factory floor experiences, including earning a mechanics certification through Union Special. She was named a “Rising Star” by SPESA in 2021, and was honored with the Sarah Friedman “Person of the Year” Award by SEAMS in 2024. Passionate about education, Xochil is involved with several industry associations and events, planning and participating in talks and panels, leading industrial sewing and tech pack workshops, and taught the Senior Capstone course for five years as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia College Chicago’s School of Fashion. She writes a mi-monthly column “X-Files” for the SEAMS newsletter, co-hosts a podcast called “Bobbin Around,” and has contributed to other industry publications. Xochil is passionate about Made in USA products and helping to support the supply chain behind it.

Britt Moore is the owner of BK Fabrics, a company that focuses on custom and Military fabrics. With a history rooted in connecting manufacturers to brands, retailers, and government agencies, Britt’s primary focus is to develop and nurture the capabilities of the US textile industry to bring more textile manufacturing back to the US. Britt believes participation in organizations like SEAMS to be critical, as anything can be accomplished when companies and industries work together.
