The National Science Foundation has renewed funding for a major textile research initiative led by North Carolina State University, providing $16 million to support more than a dozen projects advancing next-generation fibers, manufacturing technologies and sustainable materials. The award could grow to as much as $45 million over three years, reinforcing the university’s leadership in textile innovation.
