Dr. John Hauser, president of Gaston College and inaugural CEO of FutureTEX, outlined the vision for the new national defense textile manufacturing initiative during the Southern Textile Association’s Summer Marketing Forum in Belmont, N.C. The 10-year program, led by NC State and supported by a broad network of partners, has a funding ceiling of $480 million and will be headquartered at Gaston College’s Kimbrell Campus.
