The National Cotton Council plans to push for passage of the Buying American Cotton Act in 2026 as part of its policy priorities. The proposed legislation would establish a program to encourage the use of U.S.-grown cotton in textile and apparel products, supporting domestic farmers and strengthening the U.S. textile supply chain.
