Nearshoring and growing supply chain transparency requirements could create new opportunities for U.S. cotton as apparel brands reconsider where products are manufactured. Expanded spinning, weaving, dyeing, cutting and sewing capacity in the Western Hemisphere could shorten lead times and strengthen demand for U.S.-grown fiber, particularly when manufacturers can provide traceability throughout the supply chain.
