A survey of around 220 U.S. business leaders has identified a stronger labor pool, followed by 15% universal tariffs as the most powerful factors to get American companies to reshore operations. Released on June 1, the 2025 US Reshoring Survey shows that original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across industries would consider reshoring 30% of products they currently import if the country’s workforce was larger and had higher skills. Meanwhile, respondents said they’d reshore 23% of their imports if there was a universal tariff hike of 15%.
