Harry Moser, founder of the Reshoring Initiative, told Congress that reshoring U.S. manufacturing is already gaining momentum and could significantly strengthen the economy if supported by the right policies. He argued that bringing production back to the United States benefits small businesses, strengthens supply chains, and could expand U.S. manufacturing output by as much as 50% by 2040 while helping reduce the nation’s large goods trade deficit.
