U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, visited North Carolina State University to explore advanced research and technologies supporting national defense. During his visit, Rogers toured facilities at the Wilson College of Textiles and learned about innovations in protective textiles, nonwovens and additive manufacturing, as well as the university’s recently announced $480 million FutureTex initiative aimed at strengthening the domestic defense industrial base.
