Turning to fiber hemp to revitalize agriculture and textiles

NC State researchers and industry partners are working to build a viable North Carolina supply chain for fiber hemp, from farms to finished textile products. While the crop offers opportunities for apparel, furniture, nonwovens and other markets, experts say processing infrastructure and coordination across the value chain will be critical to commercialization.
